Anemia is a condition where the number of red blood cells is insufficient to meet the body's physiological needs. In adolescents, anemia can have an impact on decreased work productivity or academic ability at school, due to a lack of enthusiasm for learning and concentration. Anemia can also interfere with growth where height and weight become imperfect. This study aims to determine the effect of health education using anemia booklets on the knowledge of young women in preventing anemia at SMAN 1 Ciamis. This research method uses a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest posttest design. The sample in this study consisted of 61 tenth grade female teenage respondents at SMAN 1 Ciamis. Samples were taken using a non- random sampling technique, namely quota sampling. Data collection was carried out using pre-test and post-test questionnaire sheets. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon test. This research was conducted in May 2024. The results of this research showed that 21 respondents (34.4%) had good knowledge of young women before being given health education, 26 respondents (42.6%) had sufficient knowledge and 13 respondents (23% had insufficient knowledge). ), After good health education, 45 respondents (73.8%), 14 respondents (23%) had sufficient knowledge and 2 respondents (3.3%) had insufficient knowledge. The Wilcoxon test showed that there was an effect of health education using booklet media, p-value (0.00) <(0.05) on the knowledge of young women regarding anemia at SMAN 1 Ciamis. The conclusion of this research is that health education using booklet media can increase the knowledge of young women in preventing anemia at SMAN 1 Ciamis.
