GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR (SD) TENTANG PENCEGAHAN COVID 19 DI SDN SIRNABAYA 2 KARAWANG

Student problems, especially those related to personal and environmental hygiene, such as the habit of washing hands with soap, wearing masks and others. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge of elementary school students about COVID-19 prevention at SDN Sirnabaya 2 Karawang. The method used is descriptive method that uses observation, interviews or questionnaires about the current state of affairs, regarding the subject we are researching. The number of samples in this study were 67 respondents with a simple random sampling technique (drawn). The results of this study indicate that the knowledge of elementary school (SD) students about the prevention of COVID 19 at SDN Sirnabaya 2 Karawang, the highest frequency is in the less category as many as 38 people (56.7%), and the lowest frequency is in the good category as many as 12 people (17.9% ). Students and students of SDN Sirnabaya 2 Karawang do not yet have sufficient knowledge about COVID-19 prevention, this is due to a lack of information, either health education or health education about COVID-19 prevention to school-age children in Sirnabaya Village. Therefore, health education should be carried out targeting elementary school students and students because they are a vulnerable group exposed to COVID-19 and it is hoped that the Government in Sirnabaya Village will pay attention to how to prevent COVID- 19. Sirnabaya 2 Karawang has a poor knowledge of 38 people (56.7%). Keywords: Knowledge, Elementary school students, Prevention, COVID-19.
