The application of SBAR communication is an effort to improve patient safety in hospitals. One of the security services in the hospital is increasing effective communication between nurses, so that there is no misinformation and ensuring patient safety. One strategy for improving communication recommended by WHO is the use of the SBAR (Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendation) method. SBAR communication can reduce and prevent patient safety incidents, this is because it is easy and focused during teamwork and improves patient safety culture. SBAR communication must be carried out with SOPs so that it can be optimally documented. The purpose of this study is to find out an overview of the implementation of communication SBAR nurses in the Inpatient Room of the Hospital in 2023. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. A sample of 72 with a proportional random sampling technique. The results showed that the application of SBAR communication by nurses in the Inpatient Room of Ciamis Hospital in 2023, the majority of nurses were effective in implementing SBAR communication as many as 61 people (84.7%). The conclusion of this study is that most nurses are effective in implementing SBAR communication. Suggestions are that all nurses apply SBAR communication during handovers in a complete and clear manner by following existing standard operating procedures.
